Paul Hemphill, 1989
We lost another great Southerner yesterday when Paul Hemphill passed away. He was a very nice and unassuming gentleman.
Bo Emerson has a story in today’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution and William Grimes has another tribute in the New York Times. Also in the Times, I found this review of his Hank Williams book by Garrison Keillor.
