One of the nicest freebies in the Atlanta area is the rose garden at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  We’re lucky enough to be within walking distance and that’s exactly what we did today to round out Mother’s Day.

Officially named the The Robert L. Staton Rose Garden, its maintained by Dekalb County’s nearby Fernbank Science Center. They obviously know what they’re doing and as a bonus, I believe we were there during the peak of the Spring blooms.

BTW, everything was shot with a basic 50mm lens on a full frame Nikon D700.
